One of the most successful launches
This project aimed to replace an outdated booking management system to enhance B2B customer experience by enabling efficient travel package searches, bookings, modifications, and travel document management. Additionally, it sought to automate internal processes to reduce costs and improve company performance.
My role
One of the most successful launches I led was a visa services management system, built as part of a Tour operator ERP.
I acted as a Product Manager and drove the project from idea to implementation. I started with business analysis and interviews with B2B users to understand their pain points.
We followed Lean Startup principles — though we didn’t call it that back then — and built the product iteratively. The MVP was focused on two core user stories: First, as a travel agent, I need to book visa services quickly and deliver client info to the operator. Second, as visa manager, I need a list of booked visa services to begin the visa application process.
I created wireframes, specs, diagrams, and led internal demos to gather feedback. I also provided user manuals, training, and post-launch support to ensure adoption.
The results were impressive: while later the number of processed applications grew four times, and, visa destinations expanded from 2 to 20, the staff only doubled.
After we launched, the shareholder joked: “The only thing our ERP system can do is visas!”
